Tom Benson (Thomas Carl Benson) was born on September 6, 1961 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Ardmore (OK), Benson attended the University of Oklahoma. Benson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Los Angeles Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1986 was Tom Benson's best year, as he recorded 5 sacks.
