Tom Barnett (Thomas George Barnett) was born on July 11, 1937 in Alliance, Ohio. After going to high school at Alliance (OH), Barnett attended Purdue University. Barnett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1959 was Tom Barnett's best year.
