Tom Banks (Thomas Sidney Banks, Jr.) was born on August 20, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at John Carroll (Birmingham, AL), Banks attended Auburn University. Banks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1972 was Tom Banks's best year.
