Tom Alward (Thomas Lavern Alward) was born on October 13, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. After going to high school at Bendle (Flint, MI), Alward attended the University of Nebraska. Alward made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his entire 1 year career.
