[edit] Biography

Todd Hundley (Todd Randolph Hundley) was born on May 27, 1969 in Martinsville, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on May 18, 1990 for the New York Mets. In 1992, his rookie year, he hit .209 with 7 home runs and 32 RBI. Hundley played for the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Todd Hundley's best season was 1996, when he slugged 41 home runs and knocked in 112 runs.

Hundley was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, Hundley met former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski in 1988, when Hundley was a member of the Mets minor league system and Radomski was still employed by the Mets. Radomski alleges that he sold Hundley steroids (specifically Deca-Durabolin and testosterone) on "three or four occasions." Radomski recalls telling Hundley he would hit 40 home runs if he took the drugs.

Another player named in the Mitchell Report, Chris Donnels, recalled having many discussions with Hundley about performance-enhancing drugs while they were teammates. Radomski's address book contained Hundley's name, along with two addresses and three telephone numbers for the former catcher.

Like most players, Hundley declined to meet with investigators for the Mitchell Report.
