Toad Ramsey

Born on August 8, 1864 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Toad Ramsey (Thomas H. Ramsey) played for the Louisville Colonels and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 6 year career. Ramsey broke into the bigs on September 5, 1885 with the Louisville Colonels, and put up a 1.94 ERA in 79 innings pitched in 1885, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Toad Ramsey's best season was 1886, when he posted a 2.45 ERA, won 38 games and struck out 499 batters.
