Born on August 16, 1913 in Ione, California, Tiny Bonham (Ernest Edward Bonham) played for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 10 year career. Bonham broke into the bigs on August 5, 1940 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 1.90 ERA in 99.1 innings pitched in 1940, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tiny Bonham's best season was 1942, when he posted a 2.27 ERA, won 21 games and struck out 71 batters.
