Born on October 21, 1979 in San Diego, California, Tim Spooneybarger (Timothy Floyd Spooneybarger) played for the Atlanta Braves and Florida Marlins over the course of his 3 year career. Spooneybarger broke into the bigs on September 5, 2001 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 2.63 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.
