Born on March 21, 1958 in Santa Monica, California, Tim Leary (Timothy James Leary) played for the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers over the course of his 13 year career. Leary broke into the bigs on April 12, 1981 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.02 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tim Leary's best season was 1988, when he posted a 2.91 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 180 batters.
