Tim Cullen (Timothy Leo Cullen) was born on February 16, 1942 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on August 8, 1966 for the Washington Senators. In 1967, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 2 home runs and 31 RBI and made the Topps All Rookie Team. Cullen played for the Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 7 year career.

Cullen,nicknames "The Worm",was known as one of the best fielding second basemen in the American League. In 1970,he led the league with a .994 fielding percentage in 112 games. With the trade of Ed Brinkman to the Detroit Tigers after the 1970 season,Cullen split time between second base and shortstop in 1971. In 79 games at second base,he had a fielding percentage of .997,making only one error.
