[edit] Biography

Born on February 19, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska, Tim Burke (Timothy Philip Burke) played for the Montreal Expos, New York Mets and New York Yankees over the course of his 8 year career. Burke broke into the bigs on April 8, 1985 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.39 ERA in 120.1 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Tim Burke's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1989, when he posted a 2.55 ERA, notched 28 saves and struck out 54 batters. However, others believe that it was 1987, when he posted a 1.19 ERA, notched 18 saves and struck out 58 batters.
