Born on October 19, 1961 in Mount Gilead, Ohio, Tim Belcher (Timothy Wayne Belcher) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals and Anaheim Angels over the course of his 14 year career. Belcher broke into the bigs on September 6, 1987 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 2.91 ERA in 179.2 innings pitched in 1988, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tim Belcher's best season was 1989, when he posted a 2.82 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 200 batters.
