Tillie Manton (Taldon Manton) was born on August 24, 1910 in Ryan, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Fort Worth (TX), Manton attended Louisiana State University and Texas Christian University. Manton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1936 was Tillie Manton's best year.
