by Danroc

The RIT Tigers upset Cornell for their first win of the season. Playing at the War Memorial downtown for the first time in over 20 years, the Tigers dominated over Cornell to take a 4-1 victory.  Simone Lambert scored in the third and had an assist on a power play goal in the first for three points. Cornell put a lot of pressure on, controlling most fo the second period but was unable to score on the Tiger's D. RIT is now 1-2-0, having lost to Colgate and Bowling Green, and has yet to play an Atlantic Hockey game this season. They kick off November with a home and home series against Canisius with the first game at the Ritter, then host Air Force the next weekend. Holy Cross and Air Force currently lead the conference with 3 points apiece.  This is the third season in DI for RIT, who led the Atlantic last season but were intelligible for postseason play.
