Tiger Continues to Dominate

Tiger Woods won this week's more prestigious tournament, the World Golf Championships ( Steve Flesch won the Reno-Tahoe Open). Tiger won by 8 strokes, which is even more amazing when you consider he was down 1 after 4 holes on Sunday. Woods has won this tournament 3 times in a row and 6 times in his career. Only Sam Snead has one the same tournament more times (the Greater Greensboro Open, which Snead won 8 times).
For the season, Tiger has played in 12 tournaments. He has won 4 tournaments--more than anyone on tour this year--and his 8 top ten finishes are tied with Jim Furyk who has played in 6 more events. Tiger has virtually locked up the number one seed in the FedEx Cup playoff (Furyk and Vijay Singh can mathematically catch him, but it seems very unlikely) and barring something unforseen (like Zach Johnson, Angel Cabrera or Padraig Harrington winning the PGA and thus a second Major in the same year), he will likely win the Player of the Year award as well.
To top it off, I'm sure Tiger is just as excited that he won ESPN's "Who's Now" competition...seriously, though, even in this case, you have to say the voting was correct. Tiger Woods is the most dominant player in any sport today.
