Thurman Mcgraw (Thurman Fay McGraw) was born on July 17, 1927 in Garden City, Kansas. After going to high school at Paonia (CO), Mcgraw attended Colorado State University. Mcgraw made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Thurman Mcgraw's best year, as he recovered 5 opponents fumbles.
