Thurman Jones (Thurmond L. Jones) was born on April 6, 1918 in Wilson, Oklahoma. Jones attended Abilene Christian University. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1941 was Thurman Jones's best year.
