Thurman Garrett (Thurman Edward Garrett) was born on February 17, 1923 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Blackwell (OK), Garrett attended Oklahoma State University. Garrett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Thurman Garrett's best year.
