Thomas Boyd (Thomas Taylor Boyd) was born on November 24, 1959 in Huntsville, Alabama. After going to high school at Lee (Huntsville, AL), Boyd attended the University of Alabama. Boyd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
