This Week In Quarterbacks: Week 7

I just figured out why alot of my stories were disappearing...apparently when I take too long writing I get logged out and the story saves as an edit but it never shows up as a story so heres a story i did a couple days ago....
D-McNabb STILL feels black QBs are more scrutinized so I decided to make things fair and cover all the black quarterbacks performances this week.
Steve McNair, BAL- After losing his start this week to Kyle Boller after losing a game of rock-paper-scissors at practice (yes that's what happened McNair been hurt all season but still plays) He watched Kyle Boller lose to the Bills, who are suddenly competitive so its not as bad of a loss as people may think. However McNair was scrutinized for holding a clipboard upside down. Damn media
Cleo Lemon, MIA- He led the Dolphins on a 79 yard TD drive and suddenly Cam Cameron thought he found his quarterback. Then the Patriots dominated them Lemon threw a interception in the red zone which ultimately injured Ronnie Brown and screwed them for the season. He did make Vince Wilfork look foolish which will likely be the highlight of his doomed career. However, the Patriots are a team that gets more scrutinized than any black QB so Lemon dodged a thrashing then again its the Dolphins he has the lowest expectations in the league.
Byron Leftwich, ATL- Before the Vick scandal I predicted Leftwich would go to the Falcons after he was unhappy at training camp. I suggested a Vick for a package including Leftwich but we all know how rare big QB trades are in the NFL. Anyway Leftwich did what we all expected him to, get injured and now Jack Del Rio looks like a genius and the Falcons are stuck with John Joseph Harrington. Leftwich looked good for those 25 seconds of play but will likely be done as a starter for the rest of his career....ouch.
Jason Campbell, WAS- Threw for under 100 yds, no TD and one pick....but they won. Thats what Campbell has done all season, but likely will lose next week at New England. Campbell still gets criticized as not being the leader of this team which is true for a quarterback but he's better than Mark Brunell so lets leave it at that.
Vince Young, TEN- Vince sat out with the Madden curse but watched as the Titans showed the major difference between Young and Collins. Young finishes drives. In what could've been a blowout win against a divisional opponent was another Titans nailbiter and a great game for the 2% of fantasy owners who has Rob Bironas on their team. Young is expected to come back against the Raiders against a past victim of the Madden/Black QB curse, Daunte Culpepper
Daunte Culpepper, OAK- Speaking of the devil he threw 29 times against the Chiefs, I think they actually trust him now. However they lost in a snoozefest and they are losing ground in the oh-so-competitive</sarcasm> AFC West. Does JaMarcus Russell even go to the games?
Tavaris Jackson, MIN- If Minnesota football was relevant, this guy would be getting drilled. He threw my birthday (6/19) and didnt have a completion from the opeining drive until the third quarter. ESPN meet your new (less dynamic)Michael Vick, he's strong he fought off just about every Dallas defender not named DeMarcus Ware. The Dallas D took AP out of the game forcing Tavaris to win the game himself...like that was going to happen. However Childress likes Jackson and will stick with him, leaving Brooks Bollinger to become the new Matt Schaub.
Donovan McNabb, PHI- Now for Mr. Scrutinize himself. McNabb actually had a decent game some key drops prevented him form having a great game, he did enough for them to win but the Eagles D let him down and a 97 yard drive later the Eagles are 2-4 in the best division in the NFC. With his starting spot in Philly or very well his career riding on this season things are not looking good for the Chunky Soup guy. They can still bounce back, ask the Giants but it looks unlikely. If the Eagles cut him this season he would probably be starting for the Carolina Panthers, too bad.
Ooh A Double Whammy
David Garrard & Quinn Gray, JAX- David Garrard was looking pretty good until he got injured and with Leftwich gone comes another black QB Quinn Gray (McNabb should try to go there) Gray was awful, throwing 2 picks and being sacked twice. It shouldn't be hard to hand the ball off 30 times a game but we'll see what happens. Or perhaps Jack Del Rio might find a retired quarterback to take the helm. I wonder if Quincy Carter is out of jail.....
