With a MLB season in the books, everyone is talking about the postseason awards but MLB postseason awards mean nothing if you dont recieve one of the greatest awards of all the Trizz awards....
The Thanks For Nothing Award-people who did more harm than good for their team
AL Eric Gagne, Boston Red Sox- Supposedly the missing piece to the strongest bullpen in the league came like a cancer sending Oki and Pap into bad slumps and almost cost us the division.....I miss Kason Gabbard
Honorable Mention-Ozzie Guillen
NL Barry Bonds, San Franc...i mean Free Agency- You gave fans a reason to watch the Giants but you didnt even come close to making them contenders and you didnt come closer to 800 to have a legitimate reason to come back
Honorable Mention-Rick Ankiel
The So Long Suckers Awards-The people who only were prepping themselves to leave
AL Alex Rodriguez- He raised his stock so high what team in the world wouldnt want him...too bad the Yankees made the playoffs and he can now be expolited
Honorable Mention-Torii Hunter
NL Dontrelle Willis- He didnt have a great season, but he been wanting out for years
Honorable Mention-Milton Bradley
The Where They Come From Award- The team that virtually came out of nowhere
AL Cleveland Indians- The AL Central changes leaders more than Iraq, but who thought the Indians would have THAT good of a season
Honorable Mention-NY Yankees
NL Arizona D-Backs- I admit I thought the Dodgers had that division locked up when the season started
Honorable Mention-Brewers/Rockies
The Letdown Team-pretty self explanatory
AL Detroit Tigers- They were defending AL Champs, the best team in the league at one point, Ordonez had an MVP caliber season and they missed the postseason thats goota hurt
Honorable Mention-Minnesota Twins
NL New York Mets- No comment
Honorable Mention- St Louis Cardinals
Its My Team, Punk- The Player who suddenly emerged and outshined the star of the team
AL Josh Beckett- Anyone hear from Schill or Manny....Anyone????
Honorable Mention- Felix Hernandez
NL Jimmy Rollins- Ryan Howard made a case for another MVP crown but Phillies fans are looking to Rollins to bring a 'ship
Honorable Mention- Mark Tiexera
No Refunds- The player you would been better off not picking up
AL Kei Igawa- They thought he would be the answer to Dice K but then again do the Yankees ever consider money wasted
Honorable Mention- Eric Gagne
NL Barry Zito- Nothing spectacular from him....was good in his last game but waaaay too late
Honorable Mention- Keith Foulke
Mr. Game Over- Closer of the Year
AL Francisco Rodriguez- Didnt finish the season with the most saves but has been one of the most consistant closers in the game
Honorable Mention- Joe Borowski
NL Trevor Hoffman- 500 saves what more can you say
Honorable Mention- Jose Valverde
The New Guy- Rookie of the Year
AL Dustin Pedroia- He made all Sox fans forget about the money we wasted on Mark Loretta and Dice K technically isnt a rookie
Honorable Mention- Brian Bannister
NL Troy Toluwitski- No need to google the name hes a rookie on the Rockies who played a huge role in their sucessful year
Honorable Mention- Chris Young
The King of the Mound-The Best Pitcher
AL Josh Beckett- No Hometown bias here, he has been hands down the best AL pitcher this year
Honorable Mention- Chien Ming Wang
NL Jake Peavy- Only pitcher with a era below 3, has kept the Padres in contention
Honorable Mention- Brandon Webb
AND FINALLY...........
The Boss of all Bosses, King of All Kings, The Big Man on Campus, The Big Kahuna, The M.V.P
AL Alex Rodriguez- The biggest landslide victory since the Rangers beat the O's by 27
Honorable Mention- Magglio Ordonez
NL Jimmy Rollins- Where would the Phillies have been without Rollins this year
Honorable Mention- Ryan Howard
