After a four year absence, Huracán are back in first division.
Even though they had a two-goal advantage coming inot their match in Mendoza, Huracán knew that a draw or a win would see them in the upcoming Argentine Apertura.
For Godoy Cruz it was their last stand and they had no options but to win and win outright against a club that was poised to make their return alongside one of the more charismatic figures in recent Argentine football history.
Huracán decided to not leave things to chance and they took a 2-0 lead courtesy of Cristian Sánchez Prette who was one of the scorers in the first leg last week and Mauro Milano. Godoy Cruz showed as much as they did in the previous match, but only Colombian international Martín Arzuaga would have something to say as he would score a brace within a minutes time. But any intentions of save any little bit of hope to remain in first division as Raúl Gordillo locked up the move for El Globo.
Tomorrow the other half of the Promotion puzzle will be solved as Nueva Chicago come home with a 0-1 deficit and all they need is a draw in order to remain in first division.
