The Perfect Wife

3
Vote

A man in Florida was watching coverage of the England v Pakistan Test Match today.

His wife walked into the room, and looked at the TV. "Oh, right" she said. "If you're watching that, I'll come back at the end of the game."

For those that don't know, today is the first of the traditional five days scheduled for the match.

This would have been even better before WWII, when "timeless" test matches were the norm - i.e. the game lasted as long as it needed for there to be a result.

After bringing the beer, she would have cleaned his golf clubs, got him another beer, cleaned his fishing equipment, gone to the store for more beer..... but I digress

Hah! Indeed if Pakistan and England are playing, you gotta watch all 90 overs of all the 5 days! Now who would wanna miss watching K Pieterson, A Flintoff, M Trescothick, S Afridi, I Haq, and S Akhtar play! Good wife. Leave the hubby alone!

I wouldn't mind missing watching Flintoff - he was probably sat on the balcony watching with his injury... I don't think she understood what she was letting herself in for.
