The New NBA Playoffs Seedings System...Yay or Nay

Due to a number of complaints stating that the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs should not be meeting in the second round, David Stern has decided that the league will probably change the playoff seedings.
He stated, "I think we're just talking about taking the four teams in each conference with the best records and seeding them one through four."
This will basically get rid of the division aspect of the NBA playoffs as seeding will stricly be done by record.
I feel that this is a great move on Stern's part because I am tired of seeing teams like Denver sneak into the playoffs just because they win their horrible division. Something is wrong when the top-seeded team does not have home-court advantage. Finally, seedings are supposed to rank your team based on something and that something is of course record. Though a team plays more games against the teams in its division, they are still competing with the entire NBA. Besides, playing 4 games against teams in your division is not that much different compared to 2 or 3.
