The New, Improved, ArmchairGM Voting System

|
You mave have noticed some changes to the ArmchairGM voting system. Some improvements are there due to recent concerns. Others are a harbringer of a feature we're rolling out this week.
First, negative votes were temporarily removed from the site. Negative votes were being abused. In fact, many of you (myself included!) saw your comment score tumble as others gave massive amounts of negative votes out in hopes of raising their rank on the Top Users list. We know who did it and the culprit(s) have been warned.
Well, fear not -- the fix is in. I mean, it's fixed. Now, Top Users only count positive votes. Negative votes are still there, because if you say something really stupid or, like me, add un-funny captions in caption contests, others need a quick and easy way to show their disapproval. Also, they're needed for the super duper new feature coming out.
We're also considering putting in a mechanism where comment-voting is locked after a certain time period. Please let us know what you think of this suggestion in the comments below.
Second, you've probably noticed the comment scorecard. That, simply put, tells you who is the "best" commentor in any given post. It's purpose on these threads is pretty meaningless. But it has a point, we promise. (You'll see!)
Remember, if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or hate mail, please send them to support@armchairgm.com. As always, letter bombs will be returned to sender.
