Peter King thinks the Chargers are 10th in the league in his rankings after week 4. A 1-3 team is ranked ahead of the 2-2 Oakland Raiders. Too much coffee maybe? Here are my power rankings heading into week 5.
1. New England Patriots. Brady to Moss has got to turn you on right? Bengals, Chargers, Jets, Bills, they've all been walloped, and the Pats are well on their way to the playoffs.
2. Indianapolis Colts. Sure they've struggled a bit this year, but they always do that. Also, I consider them better than the Cowboys because of the quality opponents they have beaten.
3. Dallas Cowboys. If Tony Romo can make a play in which he was 30 yards away from the 1st down marker, evade the Rams defense, get the 1st down, then get a touchdown, you know your team is good. Even so, their key matchup will be against the Colts 2 weeks from now.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes, they may have lost last week, but without Hines Ward, the offense is really out of sync. They had a bad day, and should kick the crap out of Seattle this weekend.
5. Seattle Seahawks. They destroyed San Francisco, Tampa Bay (3-1), and Cincy, who at this point, only have a wicked offense to brag about. Much better than the crap teams they lost too last year.
6. Tennessee Titans. Vince Young is underrated in my opinion, he doesn't get the credit he deserves. He turned an awful team, to a team that has had a winning record with him under the helm.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. SOMEONE has to do well in the NFC South. Too bad their Cadillac shredded a tire or two.
8. Detroit Lions. I just threw up a little.
9. Green Bay Packers. Brett Favre is Brett Favre who is better than any Brett Favre in Brett Favre's mind. Now beat a competent opponent.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars. They got walloped in the running game against Tennessee, they have sure stiffened up, and seem to have no trouble losing Leftwich.
