The road to the playoffs is shut down for almost all of the teams in the NFL, Arizona, Philly, they all collapsed. Time to rank some teams.
1. New England Patriots. This week's game against the red hot Dolphins will be the season for them.
2. Green Bay Packers. In spite of the fact that they lost to Dallas, I would rank them higher than the Cowboys for the reasons of the consistency of their play, and they seem to have grabbed a strong hold on kicking the crap out of easy teams.
3. Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, they did NOT kick the crap out of Philly, Detroit, Buffalo...etc. And, they've lost both games at home, and that could be a huge factor heading into the playoffs.
4. Indianapolis Colts. Yes, they are back, banged up, but back. If they can win without Harrison and Freeney and many other guys, imagine what they can do if they get Harrison and those other guys not named Freeney back.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars. Yes, this is a top 5 contending team you are looking at. The QB play has been brilliant by David Garrard, the running game is solid, and their receivers are finally making the big plays. Watch out, because they are quite capable of beating San Diego and Pittsburgh....because they beat them both already.
6. San Diego Chargers. The amazing thing about the Chargers, is that they don't know their full potential. I'd start this dual running back system with LT and either Darren Sproles or Michael Turner. They've won the division, they've got another home playoff game......and Norv Turner, which is still bad.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers. This team has no shot at all of being a contender, not the way they have been playing. The turnovers, the defense is struggling, they've lost two in a row, and they are one slip up away from losing the division.
8. Cleveland Browns. Brady Quinn who?
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is a nice story, they finally got a kickoff return for a TD....and their defense is playing as if they never changed from that Super Bowl 37 win.
10a. Minnesota Vikings. Ugh....that was painful....BUT THEY WON!!!
The Not Quite Ready For Primetime Players
11. Seattle Seahawks. Maybe I'm being harsh on them, but obviously running north and south is a rarity in the Seahawks organization. They'll likely face the Vikings in the playoffs....they have no chance at all.
12. New York Giants. Pean and I were trash talking the other night, and in the meantime, the G-Men for the 2nd year in a row continue their free falling ways at home. And they've lost Shockey, which is a killer.
13. Tennessee Titans. They are working their way back, but too many fumbles, too many interceptions, and now they have to win out and hope Cleveland mess up to make the playoffs.
14. Washington Redskins. This Todd Collins guy isn't half bad you know? And if they beat the Vikings, they would take a stranglehold of the 6th seed.
15. New Orleans Saints. They're getting warmer......
Read it and comment while weeping at this lousy attempt of an article.

I like NE at one (though I can't stand them, you can't argue with a undefeated record)
I think the AFC is much for top heavy than the NFC, so the Colts would be second. followed by the Cowboys, then Packers.
How can you put the pack ahead of the Boys. Didn't the Boys beat them?
And though, I am a fan of the Brownies, I do believe they are very overrated. I mean, look at their schedule. They have only beaten ONE team above .500. They will make the playoffs, but get thumped by whoever they play. Looks like it will actually be the Chargers if the season ended today. And they have no chance at beating the Chargers. They can't stop the run, and they can't move the ball against above average defenses.
Not going to comment about the NFC, dont' know much about them, and am really looking forward to the playoffs. I dig these articles, because they give anybody the chance to talk about what they really believe. Nice list though. Good thought provoker.
