"Coming in, you knew it was a big game," Zach Randolph said. "Last year and the incident, guys had a lot amped up and wanted to win."
Last season weren't good memories when these two teams played against each other. No altercation materialize this time, it was just competitive.
"I'm pretty sure they did (move on)," Carmelo Anthony said. "They've got enough stuff going on up there to be worrying about what happened 11 months ago."
The Knicks put that behind them, because winning is prestigious.
"I haven't thought about it," Isiah Thomas said. "My concern is more with Carmelo, Camby, Martin and Iverson."
It was galvanizing, because many didn't contemplate the Knicks to win.
The players believe Thomas improved as a coach, "believe it or not."
"I think that's what Isiah had in mind when he brought Zach in here," Curry said. "I had a lot of fun tonight. This is probably the most fun I had in a basketball game."
The Knicks didn't improve on defense, because they countenance 112 points. It was just offense, and scoring points got the Knicks the victory. Thomas didn't improve, because the Knicks biggest weakness still remains.
"Our whole team, I like the tenacity that we played with. I like the intensity that we played with," Thomas said.
The intensity was great, but their decrepitude didn't improve. I wouldn't be happy, because defense will define playoff commendable. Winning was great, but defense will get them to the playoffs.
"Last year we would have lost this game by 15 points," David Lee said. Nothing has changed, because they'll lose by 15 points if that defense doesn't improve.
The Nuggets should have won, because their the better team. No excuse, because they have the talent. The experience has ameliorated, and that will bring more success this season.
"It's early in the season and we did a lot of good stuff, but not good enough to beat a team that was hungrier than us in the fourth quarter," George Karl said.
The Nuggets couldn't get progress in the fourth quarter, and that caused the lost. It was anyones game until the Nuggets fell apart, and the Knicks picked up their intensity.
"We had this game and we just gave it away tonight," Anthony said. "We had it in our hands and we couldn't maintain the lead. That was a team that played hard every possession. Maybe we took a couple of possessions off and they capitalized off that."
It can't happen again, because losing to the Knicks is embarrassing. The Nuggets are expected to go deep into the playoffs, hopefully this doesn't continue in the season.
"Everything that we went through last year, from the start of the season not being able to win at home, then the suspensions, you learn from tough times," Thomas said. "And I think our true character showed in those tough times that we were able to hang together and still scratch out some wins."
It's still early in the season, and the Knicks are likely going to break down. This win doesn't mean anything, because top contending teams have failing games as well. Their defense will cause failure, "if" they improve then success will arrive.
The Nuggets clearing lost, because everything was great until the fourth quarter. They were scoring, and able to keep the lead. Then the Nuggets ran out of gas, and the Knicks were predominance towards it.
"Anything that motivates passion and pride I think is good for the game, just so long as you stay professional, and I have no question that my team will be very professional about what's going on," Karl said.
Last season's brawl didn't cause last night's lost. It's a team effort, and it was poor towards the end. Having Allen Iverson wasn't an advantage, because the whole team couldn't prosper.
"Before the fight happened, it was all speculation that A.I. was going to get traded here," J.R. Smith said. "As soon as the fight happened, we knew we had to win games and that was pretty much the only way we were really going to win games, if we got A.I. as fast as we could." Well it didn't work.
Playing in Madison Square Garden helped the Knicks, because they feel more comfortable. Their winning games, and the fans are happy. Teams love playing their, because it brings self-assurance but the Knicks used it last night.
"I love playing in the Garden with or without incentive. I think it's the best place in the world to play. I think it's my favorite place to win games. Every time since I've been in Denver, I think we've won every time. We're going out for one thing, have a win and be responsible to bouncing back from playing like we did last night." said Karl. It didn't bring a victory, because the Knicks exploded towards the end.
Anthony was productive, because his talent wasn't stoppable for the Knicks. He scored 24 points, and 9 assist. His field goals weren't nurturance, because he went 7-20.
Iverson was helpful, and able to produce. He had 32 points, and 5 assist. His field goal weren't encouragement, because he went 13-22.
The Knicks were more offensively jurisdiction, and that instigation their fourth quarter run. The fans were beneficence, and the Knicks were furtherance by them.
Zach Randolph had another productive game, and he was helpful. He didn't give up, and his statistic were philanthropy towards the Knicks. He had 22 points, and 17 rebounds. Randolph has been the most mentoring player for the Knicks this season.
Jamal Crawford played great, and he's performances have been charity. Scoring 25 points, and 8 assist with 5 rebounds was grateful.
Stephon "Poorbury", scored 21 points and 9 assist.
Curry statistic was patronage for the Knicks, because his presents was great. He had 24 points, and 8 rebounds. Curry and Randolph have been productive, these players can produce and help the Knicks.
