The 1982 World Snooker Championships Semi Final between Alex Higgins and Jimmy White had reached the stage where Jimmy White was 15-14 up, and 59-0 up in the 30th frame. He needed only one more frame to win the match 16-14. Both players were understandably nervous, and the pressure and tension was huge.
In this break, Higgins was out of position for the first 19 points, and pulled off a sequence of incredible pots, where he could easily have played a safety shot - most notably the black - he could have rolled up behind the yellow. But he was fearless, and went on to win the frame to set up a decider. He won that to win 16-15. He beat Ray Reardon in the Final to win his second World Championship.
