The Gods of Baseball Have Been At Work

by user BoycottBarry.com

On August 29, 2006, Barry Bonds hit two home runs and made a home-run saving catch over the wall in left field. It was his best game of the season, yet the Giants still lost the game.

The message here is clear: the Gods of Baseball will not allow a cheater to prosper. These Gods understand that baseball, our national pastime, has been tarnished forever by the Steroid Era. The Gods of Baseball are sad.

Unlike Bud Selig, the MLB Players' Association and Congress, who did not react in a swift, rigorous way to steroid use in baseball, the Gods of Baseball have been working for several years.

Remember the 2002 World Series, when the Giants had the title virtually locked up? They had the Angels on the brink, but then the Angels came back. Why? The Gods of Baseball would never allow Barry Bonds and his steroid use to be rewarded with a World Series ring.

Sure, Bonds had his moment in that Series: the shot off Troy Percival. A long home run, yes. A World Series title, never. The Gods of Baseball did not allow it.

I'm an idiot - '89 vs the Giants (Tony 'Overrated' LaRussa's ONLY ring - quake aided), not '88

You don't think a "juicer" has ever won a ring?

Unless you believe the rumors that Gonzo was juiced for the 2001 season.

Do you really believe that no World Series team has had a steroid user on it? Does anyone believe that?

If you really wanted to build this case for the gods being anti-Bonds... start with former Pirate teammate/Barry hater Sid Bream finding a second gear rounding third in 1991... I personally don't think that's how the gods operate, but...

Of course God is against Barry Bonds. Remember in 2000 when God helped Jeff Kent - a Bonds teammate who had lesser offensive numbers - win the NL MVP over Barry? Bonds would have had 8 MVPs now instead of just 7 ... God definitely is out to get him.
