Hapoel Play65 Kiriat Shalom from Tel Aviv, who plays in the 6th Israeli Division has decided to fire the coach, and from today the manager will be…the internet surfers! For the first time in the world, the surfers will decide who will play, what will be the squad, who will be the replacements, how the team will play, in what formation, who will shoot the free kicks, penalties, and who will be the player of the match.

The games will be broadcast online on the web site, and the surfers can decide during the games about all the above subjects, and a contact person from the team on the filed will do it. Web2Sport, the company behind the project has invested about 2 Million Israeli Shekels (500k $). The first football game will be this weekend, Saturday 20.10.07. Sounds interesting and I wonder if FC Barcelona will replace Frank Rijkaard with you the surfers

This is a stupid idea. I have to go out of my way to find someone in my day to day life, fan or not, who knows enough about the tactics and little details of the game to talk footie with at the D1 college level. Wanks and Bloaks from all over will be logging on to try and run a 3-6-1 or a 4-1-4 or something stupid.
