The Donald Thinking about Buying the Cubbies

Wouldn't Trump's ego just LOVE to buy away the curse of the goat...

He would turn the cubs into a reality TV show. Every week you would vote off a Cubbie. The loser would have a confessional and then cry in front of the camera. The winner would be able to touch the Donald's toupee.

WHOA...is that pic allowed to be up there? Who has more money, Steinbrenner or Trump? Wouldn't it be funny if there was a bidding war and Trump just bought out all the Yankees!

Dear Lord, hasn't Cubs fans suffered enough? I mean, Trump is a great show man, but as a businessman, he is as bad as it gets. It amazes me how he can screw shareholders every time, and still, banks are willing to bail him out. Unbelievable.

While a new owner is most definately needed for the Cubs, there is no way that the Trib will sell them. The Trib is all about making money... while the cubs may not win anything - and haven't in quiet some time, they are a VERY profitable organization... they sell out almost everyday and thier apperral (sp) is sold all over the world to millions of people every year... by the way, the Trib has already expressed that the Cubs are NOT for sale... while that may change soon (god I hope), but as of right now - no *sigh*

I wonder if Dusty Baker would finally get fired then...

does anyone realize that he has been bankrupt MULTIPLE times and is not that rich, nor is he a good businessman. Donald Sterling will buy the Cibs before Donald Trump will.

i'll believe it when i see it. til then, even as a cards fan it's hard to hate them they're so awful. but not entirely impossible -- especially when their fans are down here wearing that blue...nevermind, i still hate them.

Don't Cubs fans have enough to feel sad about already? It's not as if Trump isn't a modern-day Tom Yawkey - although, if he was, it'd be wicked cool - but I can't get the image of "Trump Quality" being applied to the Cubs out of my head.
