The Dead Zone

Now that the NBA finals & NHL finals are over - congrats to Mia & Car respectively, this now officially begins the time of the year I affectionately call The Dead Zone. The time of year in between NBA or NHL finals (whichever finishes later) and the start of the NFL preseason.
Outside of baseball, there is really nothing else to watch, unless you’re into Golf, Tennis or maybe NASCAR – however this year we have something else to watch – World Cup… oh joy… yes, that was sarcastic.
While I don’t particularly like Golf, Tennis, NASCAR or Soccer – I’m not going hold anything against the 18 of you that do.
What makes this year particularly hard for me is that this year, the team that I love (Cubs) stink so bad that I can smell their home dugout all the way here in Detroit. At least I have the Tigers to fall back on.
But as much as I love baseball, unfortunately, my wife doesn’t so this kind of creates a huge conflict in our house when most games are on… God I can’t wait until football season already. At least then I can go to every home game (season tickets) and the 10 games that are away (including preseason), there’s not too much of a conflict – at least then I have my brother in law backing me up making it a 2 to 1 vote lol
The dead dreary days of summer have now begun – someone shoot me now before I go insane :-)
