The D-Backs games so far (5-17-07)

Well I haven't written in quite awhile so I hope I still remember how.
Now the Arizona Diamondbacks have been a streaky team so far. They dropped the season opening series with the Colorado Rockies 2 to 1 but then went on to sweep the Washington Nationals in Washington. That sweep started a 6 game win streak that continued until the Cincinnati Reds avoid the sweep in the final game of a 3 game series in Arizona. Arizona then lost the first game of the series with Rox but then came back to win the last two games of that series. The snakes were then swept in a 2 game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Grand Canyon State. The Diamondbacks then rebounded and took a game in San Diego but then started a 5 game losing streak by losing the second and final game of the series. They were then swept by the San Francisco Giants in the bay for that 3 game set. And the slide continued in Arizona as the D-Backs lost the first of 3 to the San Diego Padres by the tides turned as the hometown team won the final 2 games to start a 6 game win streak. That streak would contain a 3 game sweep of the Giants in Arizona to make up for the previous sweep that had reverse results. And the Diamondbacks seemed to stay hot as they went to LA and took the first of 3 but then lost the series with back to back loses. The New York Mets then came into town looking to continue there win streak in Arizona and they were successful until the fourth game of the series when the snakes pulled out a win. The Philadelphia Phillies then came into the desert for 3 games and were welcomed with the D-Backs taking 2 of the 3. The snakes then went to face the Houston Astros in Texas by winning the first game but then falling in the final 2. And finally the Diamondbacks have gone back into Denver to take 2 of 3 for the hometown team.
Overall the D-Backs have been erratic and still have to show what kind of team they will be this year but have they have managed to stay 2 games above .500 at a record of 22-20 and are currently 3 games back from the Dodgers and .5 games back from the Padres. The Diamondbacks will now be headed to Pittsburgh to face the Pittsburgh Pirates for 3 and some time during then I will give the individual Diamondbacks a critique.
