The Cavs are Down 3-0 and I Don't Really Care

You would think waking up this morning and seeing that the Cavs ended up losing last night (I had been awake for 40 hours so I only made it until halftime) would have bummed me out for the day, but I had an odd feeling of ok-ness about the situation.
I, along with every NBA fan, knew going into this playoffs, even into this season that whomever won the East would get killed by whomever won the West. Cleveland, Detroit, Miami with healthy D-Wade, it wouldn't matter because San Antonio, Phoenix, or Dallas with a possibly non-pansy Dirk would be waiting to smack them upside the head.
That's the NBA in 2007, and I'm fine with that.
Cleveland has a 22-year-old LeBron James who is gaining unmeasurable experience in these playoffs. He's also getting to know better a team that will mostly be back next year. This is how the East can get stronger and be ready to match up better against the west come June 2008. As long as Danny Ferry is paying attention and fan make the necessary move or two to get the team a little better, the ArmchairGM community will once again be complaining that the most electrifying new player and one of the most loathed cities is in the finals again.
The last play of the game last night was evidence that James isn't to superstar status yet. It proved he still has to earn his keep in the league. If Michael would have been swiped like that on a final shot, the foul wouldn't have only been called, it would probably have been called intentional, but LBJ didn't even get his rightful three shots, but that's ok.
Am I disappointed that my team is down 3-0? Of course, but I'm not going to cry and moan over it. I didn't expect them to beat Detroit and go on to the finals until next year, so I'm thrilled they got as far as they did.
After all, LeBron is only 22, the Cavs franchise is only in it's 30s, and this is only the beginning for both of them.
