The Best Personality in Baseball

The best personality in Major League Baseball would have to be that of the Boston Red Sox Outfielder, Manny Ramirez. I think everyone here on the "Chair" would agree with me on this one, especially the 9,703,576,525 Boston fans on this site. Manny, while being the slowest Outfielder since Benny Agbayani (the 225 pounder and former Met, Red Sox, and Rockies Outfielder), may be the best at fielding balls of the "Green Monster". And Manny isn't a mediocre ballplayer, either. Man-Ram has played 15 seasons, seven with Boston, and the other 8 with Cleveland, and he has hit for 30+ HR's in 11 of those seasons (career-high of 45 in '05, and '98). Manny has batted in 100+ runs in 11 of those 15 seasons, as well. Manny's career BA is .313, which is spectacular, Manny isn't the type of guy who will sit out a bunch of games at a time, he goes out every night, works hard, and haves fun at the same time.
Manny has been an absolute monster in his postseason career. He has 24 career postseason HR's in 19 career playoff series with the Tribe and Sox, and he has two rings.
You can definitely tell that Manny loves the game of baseball, and his trademark "dreads" help fans recognize him easily, and I think that that's exactly why he has them. Manny is always doing something to entertain fans, whether it's going inside the Green Monster to take a bathroom break while a pitching change, or Manny purposely flipping off his batting helmet while running the bases (not that it helped him run any faster). I also noticed earlier in tonight's Game four between Boston, and Colorado after a Rockie hitter hit a ball over his head Manny adjusted his cap while chasing down the ball, I thought it was pretty funny, since he is already super-slow, all that did was slow him down even more. I would have to say that that's just "Manny being Manny".
Manny has a terrific .985 fielding percentage at the OF position, I would have to say that that is pretty damn good for a big guy like himself. Although, I really wouldn't say he is that BIG. He is a 6 foot, 200 pound 35-year old. But, he acts so much bigger than he really is. Some say he isn't a very good "hustle" player, like Derek Jeter, or a few others, and I would agree, but he is just being Manny, and that's the way he plays. He is a definite Hall of Famer, I don't care if many say he is a lazy ballplayer, at least he's not on steroids, like all the other power hitters in today's game (at least I don't think so). This may be the last we will get to see of Manny for this year, so I think I will finish watching the game now, but, Manny is certainly a HOFer, and one of the best at his game.
