Old Trafford will soon bid farewell to the man whose goal in 1999 brought the Champions League Trophy to Old Trafford and the Sir to Alex Fergusosn’s name.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will announce his retirement today according to a quote from his father in a Norwegian newspaper. He cites a knee injury picked up against Panathanaikos in 2003 that has never properly healed as the reason for his son’s retirement.
Lets all spare a good thought for the man who looked like he enjoyed himself as much as anybody could on the football pitch and was Red through and through. Lets also have a look at his most famous goal...and celebrate in appropriate fashion.
