The All-Time Teams

If you made up an all-star team of guys who played for the Cleveland Indians, what would it look like? How about a team of guys born in the state of Montana? Who has the stronger line-up, an all-star July 4th birthday team or an all-star Christmas birthday team?

I don't have the answers to any of those questions. But I just set up a page where you can try to answer them at All-Time Teams. I already made up a team of guys who were born today (May 31st). But what about a team of guys who share your last name? Or a team of guys who were drafted in the 13th round of the draft?

Baseball Reference is a great source of information when creating these kinds of teams

In response to your first question, I wish that Madden NFL Games didn't have all the old teams, e.g. '66 Green Bay, and then call the players on their roster QB#9, RB#31, K#6 etc. I think this is a great idea!

I moved the May 31st birthday page so that it starts with birthday, making it easier to find on a category page. How do I delete the original? I also added a category tag to it to create the Category:All-Time Teams page

I always hated that for Madden too. I'm not a huge football fan and I am completely clueless to the history of the game. So you could have the greatest football player of all time on a classic team, but if you're just calling him by a number, I have no idea who the guy is.

I think it would be good to stay away from All-Time teams of the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, etc... and focus more on the fun ones like guys named Todd or birthdays. Great idea though steak.
