Joey Porter guaranteed a Miami win this weekend over the Oakland Raiders.
Really, Joey? Way to step out on the limb for this one. That is like the Yankees guaranteeing a win over the Tacoma Rainers with Nick Lachey starting at second.
"We don't feel like we're an 0-3 team. We've played better. We haven't played to where we need to be but we know what we have on this team. We lost some games where things just fell apart and on defense we're doing things different from what we planned on doing. We've kind of adapted to them instead of letting them adapt to us."
The problem is…you are an 0-3 team, Joey. There is no such thing as a team that is not as good or bad as its record. That’s what the record is for.
"We dropped some games that we weren't supposed to lose. But it happens. What do we do from now? We start off and get our first victory at home this Sunday against Oakland."
Wow…he should guarantee wins against: New Orleans, St. Louis, Buffalo and any other team that is terrible.
Joey hasn’t shut his mouth in years and it has made him sort of an NFL pariah. At first, he was a fire starter; a spark plug, but he has become the kind of person that people just look at as a big-mouth.
The AP said it best:
“The outspoken veteran has called opposing players "soft," was fined for things he said to Cleveland's Kellen Winslow Jr. during a game and even accused referees once of cheating. He created a buzz after this season's opener, when the Dolphins had him on the sideline during Washington's winning drive in overtime.”
Joey, it is time to shut up until YOU can contribute to the teams win. You are irrelevant now. What are your stats this year? Right, 9 Total Tackles, 8 solo (ranked 12 th on your own team behind the likes of Travares Tillman and Matt Roth.
Call me when you have 9 in a game.
"I should have stayed with the Steelers"
