0 commentsWith two outs in the 9th inning and his team down 13-12, Yankees catcher Jorge Posada hit a game-winning homer off Texas Rangers closer Akinori Otsuka.
It was a wild game at Yankee Stadium which saw Texas jump out to an early 9-0 lead. New York clawed all the way back to take an 11-10 lead in the 6th on a Miguel Cairo 2 RBI single. Yankee closer Mariano Rivera couldn't keep the game tied in the 9th after allowing an RBI double by Rod Barajas. Otsuka couldn't escape the run barrage either, and blew his 1st save of the season.
