Tex McDonald (Charles C. McDonald) was born on January 31, 1891 in Farmersville, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1912 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 1 home run and 15 RBI. McDonald played for the Cincinnati Reds, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Rebels and Buffalo Blues over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Tex McDonald's best season was 1914, when he hit for a .307 average and knocked in 61 runs.
