Tex Irvin (Cecil P. Irvin) was born on October 9, 1906 in DeLeon, Texas. After going to high school at Cisco (TX), Irvin attended Davis & Elkins College. Irvin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the New York Giants and Providence Steam Roller over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1933 was Tex Irvin's best year.
