Born on July 17, 1921 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Tex Hoyle (Roland Edison Hoyle) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 1 year career. Hoyle broke into the bigs on April 18, 1952 with the Philadelphia Athletics.
