Tex Clevenger

Born on July 9, 1932 in Visalia, California, Tex Clevenger (Truman Eugene Clevenger) played for the Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels over the course of his 8 year career. Clevenger broke into the bigs on April 18, 1954 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.79 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1954, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Tex Clevenger's best season was 1959, when he posted a 3.91 ERA and struck out 71 batters.
