Terry Whitfield (Terry Bertland Whitfield) was born on January 12, 1953 in Blythe, California. He made his Major League debut on September 29, 1974 for the New York Yankees. In 1977, his rookie year, he hit .285 with 7 home runs and 36 RBI. Whitfield played for the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Terry Whitfield's best season was 1978, when he hit for a .289 average.
