[edit] BiographyAcquired Acquired from Montreal Alouettes on April 21, 2006 in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft. Montreal acquired the all-star receiver and a sixth round selection (49th overall) in the 2005 Canadian College Draft from Edmonton on April 28th in exchange for safety William Loftus Played in all 18 games during the regular season…finished second on the Eskimos in receiving with 78 receptions for 1,062 yards and two touchdowns…his 78 receptions was tops on the team…extended his CFL record for most consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons to 10. With yet another outstanding year in the future Hall of Famer’s career Vaughn enjoyed his best season as a pro with career highs in receptions (106) and yards (1558) and added seven touchdowns…set the CFL record for most 1000+ yards receiving seasons with nine. Was Edmonton’s top ranked receiver and second in the CFL with 94 receptions for 1,219 yards and nine touchdowns in 18 games during the regular season…Vaughn set a new CFL record with his eight consecutive season with 1,000+ yards receiving, breaking the previous mark held by former Roughrider great Donald Narcisse…tied Tom Scott and Craig Ellis on the Eskimos all-time list with four consecutive seasons of 1,000+ yard receiving…had nine punt returns for 84 yards and two kickoff returns for 24 yards. Unquestionably a leader on and off the field, Vaughn had one of his finest seasons as a pro…led the CFL in receptions (98) and receiving yards (1,497)…finished ninth in the league with five touchdown catches, bringing his career total to 46. Played in 17 games during the regular season…led the Eskimos with 94 receptions for 1,216 yards and six touchdowns…had his sixth consecutive 1,000 yard receiving season…his 94 catches ranked third in the CFL and his 1,216 yards placed him sixth. The Edmonton Eskimos signed Vaughn as a free-agent on March 25th…started all 17 games played during his first season with the Eskimos…led Edmonton and finished fifth in the CFL with 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and a single season career high 11 touchdowns…had his fifth straight season with 1,000 plus yards receiving. Played in 17 games during the regular season as the Stampeders were on route to a Grey Cup championship…finished second on Calgary in receiving with 81 receptions for 1,045 yards and five touchdowns…finished seventh in the CFL with his 81 receptions and was ninth in the league with the 1,045 receiving. Played in all 18 games during the regular season…finished the season with 81 receptions for 1,057 yards…second on the team in both categories…was tied for the team lead with nine touchdown receptions. Played in 17 games during the regular season…finished second on the team in receiving yardage with 1,161 yards and third in receptions with 74 passes caught including five for touchdowns. College Played four seasons (1990-1993) with the University of Arizona Wildcats…finished his collegiate career as one of the school’s top 10 all-time receivers in receptions…in 40 career games played he had 102 receptions for 1,443 yards and six touchdowns and 18 carries for 70 yards…was the Wildcats leading receiver in three of his four seasons with the team…on special teams he returned 28 kickoffs for 622 yards and one touchdown and 65 punts for 571 yards and one touchdown. (1992) Had 23 receptions for 311 yards and one touchdown playing in 10 games as a junior…had 34 punt returns for 234 yards, two kickoff returns for 36 yards and one carry for one yard. (1991) Playing in nine games as a sophomore he led Arizona with 21 receptions for 270 yards and one touchdown and eight carries for 47 yards…finished second in the PAC-10 and 20th nationally on punt returns averaging 11.2 yards per return…had 18 kickoff returns for 401 yards and one touchdown and 24 punt returns for 269 yards and one score…was a second team All-PAC-10 selection as a return specialist. (1990) During his freshman season Vaughn started 10 games at wide receiver…led the Wildcats in receiving with 22 receptions for 431 yards and two touchdowns…returned three kickoffs 83 yards and had eight carries for 21 yards.
