Born on October 5, 1964 in Alexandria, Louisiana, Terry Mathews (Terry Alan Mathews) played for the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 8 year career. Mathews broke into the bigs on June 21, 1991 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 3.61 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Terry Mathews's best season was 1995, when he posted a 3.38 ERA and struck out 72 batters.
