Born on March 13, 1954 in Selma, Alabama, Terry Leach (Terry Hester Leach) played for the New York Mets, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 11 year career. Leach broke into the bigs on August 12, 1981 with the New York Mets, and put up a 2.91 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Terry Leach's best season was 1987, when he posted a 3.22 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 61 batters.
