Terry Harper (Terry Joe Harper) was born on August 19, 1955 in Douglasville, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1980 for the Atlanta Braves. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 2 home runs and 16 RBI. Harper played for the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Terry Harper's best season was 1985, when he slugged 17 home runs and knocked in 72 runs.
