Tedy Bruschi (Tedy Lacap Bruschi) was born on June 9, 1973 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Roseville (CA), Bruschi attended the University of Arizona. Bruschi made his professional debut in the NFL in 1996 with the New England Patriots. He has played for the New England Patriots for his entire 11 year career.

Inactive the first six weeks of the 2005 season, Bruschi returned to the field against the Buffalo Bills, and recorded 10 tackles, being named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
